2020 Cal-ED Teacher Grant

Eligibility: Only current professional members of Cal-ED may apply. This grant is open to all teacher applicants from grades Pre-K to 12 in any subject, and in any type of program.

Application: Only complete Google Forms will be considered

Application Deadline: Monday, January 13, 2020

Funding level: $300

 

Description: The Tamozelle Jennings Memorial Cal-ED teacher grant provides funding for Teachers of the Deaf (ToDs) to creatively explore new ways of helping students learn. Cal-ED members may apply to:
 

    *Develop an original teaching idea or a new program

    *Enrich your curriculum to improve instruction

    *Develop a project that encourages parent and/or community partnerships

    *Provide a field trip for your students that benefits the students educationally

   * Incorporate new technology to improve instruction

How are grants selected?

Grant applications are read and selected by the Cal-ED Board in January. Two $300 grants will be awarded each year. The funds will be given to the selected teachers during the Cal-ED conference in the spring. Grant winners must be present at the annual conference and must provide a photo to use during the awards ceremony.

When will I hear if my application was selected?

Notifications will be made by February 1, 2020.

Cal-ED Teacher Grant recipients:

    *Will be recognized at the annual Cal-ED conference

    *Must provide a photo of themselves (or photo related to their grant) to be used during the awards banquet

    *Must provide a brief summary of their completed project to be shared with other Cal-ED members digitally in the Cal-ED e-News by November 1, 2020

    *Must provide receipts that Grant monies were used appropriately by November 1, 2020
