California Educators of the Deaf
A Professional Organization for Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Formed at California School for the Deaf, Berkeley in 1960 by a small group of concerned teachers, CAL-ED (formerly CATHI) has grown into a large state-wide organization of professionals serving Deaf and hard of hearing students. Its purpose is to improve the quality of education for all Deaf and hard of hearing children.

Membership Dues:
Professional Membership -- $70.00
(Open to all credentialed staff)
Associated Membership -- $55.00
(Open to retired professionals, parents, interpreters and aides/assistants)
College Student Membership -- $50.00
(Open to full-time students only -- must be accompanied by a letter from University advisor)

NOTE: All membership dues are for a period of one (1) year and must be renewed annually in order to maintain a current membership status in CAL-ED.
