CAL-ED is an organization whose business is conducted by a "Board of Directors". CAL-ED's "Board" is comprised of the following positions: Past President, President, President-Elect, Vice President of Membership, Treasurer, Secretary, E-FORUM Editor, E-FORUM Advertising Editor, Web Administrator, State Department Liaison and eight (8) Area Representatives.
The Area Representatives are selected from each of the eight (8) different areas within the state of California. These areas, based upon the counties within the state, are defined as follows:
Area 1
Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo and Yuba Counties; Oregon State; Washington State
Area 2
Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma Counties
Area 3
Monterey, San Benito, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties
Area 4
Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare, and Tuolumne Counties
Area 5
Orange and San Diego Counties; all other areas outside California (except the states of Oregon and Washington)
Area 6
Kern, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties; Los Angeles Unified School District
Area 7
Los Angeles County
Area 8
Imperial, Inyo, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
